ashton kutcher 2012 Ashton Kutcher Long Mens HairstyleWho ever said long hair on men looks good, is sorely mistaken. However, Ashton Kutcher can pull it off a little better than some. Because of his more pronounced jawline and not having a very narrow face, long hair on Ashton does not drag him down. His hair hits right at shoulder length and has light, long layering which is what causes his hair to flip out on the ends. Therefore it gives a little more of a style than his hair just being all one length.

Zac Efron Short Hair: Buzz Cut

Today, one has many different options in hair products to help hold different styles in place. Three such products are hair wax, pomade, and hair gel. However, not everyone is familiar with the different products. Therefore, we shall attempt to answer the question, “What is the difference between hair wax and hair gel?”

Hair wax is exactly what the name states. It is a type of wax that can be applied to the hair to produce a very stiff hold. It is most often used with hairstyles such as a liberty spike or a spiked Mohawk. This is because wax holds the hair in place for its full length.

When wax is applied to the hair, it hardens, creating a very stiff hold. It does not wear off or lose its hold under normal wear. It must be washed and combed out of the hair to remove it. Under certain circumstances, the wax can be broken and need to be reapplied to keep the hairstyle looking the way it was intended.

Hair gel is a different product altogether. It is used to provide a more natural looking hold that is not stiff to the touch. It is not strong enough, normally, to make the hair stand up in tall spikes. However, it is quite handy for creating small, short spikes that make the hair look mussed up.

Gel can be applied to damp hair to create a wet look that many men find attracts women when they go out to clubs and bars. There are many different levels of hold available in gel. Men must, therefore, experiment and choose the level that best suits their needs.

Despite the ability to make dry hair look damp, gel does not make hair look greasy if used properly. Too much can be applied, leaving the hair looking like it is coated in axle grease or giving the appearance of wearing a plastic helmet. Wax, on the other hand, by its very nature makes one look like his hair has been fashioned into a helmet if it is not used specifically to create long spikes.

Given the number of different hair products on the market, it is no wonder some men become confused about which is which and what each is used for. Hopefully, we have answered the question, “What is the difference between hair wax and hair gel?” in a manner that makes the differences clear and easy to understand.

Vitamins to Prevent Grey Hair

The importance of vitamins to a person’s health can never be overestimated. This even extends to the person’s hair health. While there are many other reasons to take vitamins if one does not eat a healthy and balanced diet, few people realize they can take vitamins to prevent grey hair.

In general, the best way to get vitamins is in their natural form from our food. There are some vitamins that can affect hair growth and color. Here, we will look at some of these vitamins and the best sources of them.

Pantothenic acid, also known as vitamin b5, is one of the important vitamins that can prevent hair loss and graying. It is commonly found in organ meats, such as liver, eggs, and whole grains.

Vitamin b6 helps the body to produce melanin. Melanin is a protein that gives the hair and skin its color. Production of this protein in a healthy hair follicle produces a colored hair. Lack of melanin produces a grey hair. B6 can also help prevent hair loss. This vitamin comes from the same sources as b5.

Biotin is a nutrient that helps the body produce keratin. Keratin is a protein that is used in the production of hair by the body. Biotin also aids in the prevention of hair turning grey and hair loss. Milk, liver, eggs, rice, and whole grains are foods rich in biotin.

Under ideal conditions, everyone would get all of the vitamins to prevent grey hair as well as the minerals necessary to prevent grey hair, hair loss, and other problems that result from vitamin deficiency. Since conditions are hardly ever ideal, most people need to take some sort of vitamin supplements. It is highly recommended that individuals take a multivitamin that contains all of these vitamins plus others that help to promote good health in general as well as prevent grey hair.

Joe Strummer is the lead singer, rhythm guitar player, and chief lyricist for the English punk rock band, The Clash. He has also been a member of other bands, including The Mescaleros, the 101ers, and Latino Rockabilly Wars. Strummer was born John Graham Mellor in Ankara, Turkey to a British diplomat and a nurse. He died at the age of 50 in Broomfield, Somerset, England.

Early in his career, Strummer wore his hair in a pompadour. This is a high rising hairstyle that requires medium length hair. The hair is combed forward, then flipped upward to produce this style. The sides and back can be short or medium length, but the top needs some added length to make the hairstyle stand up tall, the way it is supposed to do.

Later, when he cofounded the Clash, Joe changed his hairstyle from the pompadour to a Mohawk. This is another style that stands up, but has some major differences. First, the sides of the head are shaved, or at least cut extremely short. The top of the hair is cut into a strip that runs over the center of the head. Wax is often used to make the stripe of hair that is left stand up straight and tall.

The length of the stripe can vary from one person to another. Joe kept his relatively short and uniform, without any of the spikes that characterize so many Mohawks. He also allowed stubble to grow on the sides of his head and in the back where the stripe was not located.

This is a divergence from the true Mohawk, but does not allow as much hair on sides and back as the similar hairstyle that is known as the faux-hawk. These are the two Joe Strummer hairstyles that were worn during his career as a musician and singer.

Dandruff can be quite embarrassing. It is the result of a dry or unhealthy scalp that leads to flakes of skin coming loose and falling out or getting caught in the hair. Those who suffer from it often wonder how to remove dandruff from hair permanently.

There are several factors that can contribute to the formation of dandruff. Certain changes to each of these factors can reduce or eliminate the occurrence of flakes and remove them from the hair. The first step is to wash the hair and scalp regularly with a dandruff shampoo. This should prevent the scalp becoming too oily, which can lead to a buildup of bacteria, or too dry, which can lead directly to flaking. Shampoo should be gently massaged into the scalp and allowed to sit for five minutes or so before rinsing out thoroughly.

Chemicals and hair products may be contributing to the problem. Use of too many different products at the same time can cause the scalp to become dry and flaky. This can also damage the hair and make it break off or fall out, so care should be exercised in the number and types of hair products used regularly.

Certain foods and dietary supplements contribute to healthy skin. This includes the skin of the scalp. Omega-3 fatty acids, zinc, B-vitamins, vitamin E, and other nutrients contribute to healthy circulation and production of essential oils that keep the scalp healthy and the hair adequately moisturized. A diet too rich in fats and sugar can create an environment in the skin that allows a certain fungus to thrive that can cause the skin to flake and itch. This type of diet should be avoided.

The body needs an adequate amount of rest to rejuvenate itself and prepare for the stresses of the day. Not getting enough rest will take its toll in all of the body systems, including the skin and scalp. Getting a full 8 to 10 hours of rest each night will help the scalp stay healthy and avoid flakes.

As a final answer to how to remove dandruff from hair permanently, medication may be necessary. The most common dandruff medication is ketoconazole. Experts recommend that one use shampoos that contain this ingredient regularly to remove flakes and prevent the formation of new ones. Certain herbal remedies may also prove useful at removing loose flakes and excess oil. Vinegar and lemon juice are often recommended because they strip excess oil away from the scalp.

Common Hair Cutting Tools

Most people are somewhat vain about the appearance of their hair. This is why so many men and women both go to hair salons to have their hair cut and styled. Stylists have many different tools at their disposal. Here, we are going to take a look at common hair cutting tools.

electric clipper

Electric clippers are possibly the most commonly used tool for cutting hair. This is especially true of men’s hair. Clippers come with a range of guards that can be attached to control the length of the hair if one is using them at home. Stylists tend to use a regular comb and gauge the hair’s length for themselves.

scissor Common Hair Cutting Tools

Scissors are used to cut the hair when one desires the ability to shape the hair. These come in a couple of different types. The primary type, called barber shears, are very sharp and cut all of the hair. The length of the hair cut is controlled by the fingers of the stylist or with a comb.

thinning shear

A second type of scissors that is used very often is thinning shears. These scissors have gaps at measured intervals in the blades so that they only cut about half of the hair that is between the blades. These are used when one has very thick hair and wants it thinned a bit to make it easier to handle and style in a particular manner.

straight razor

A final tool used to cut hair is a razor. Razor cut hair has angles on the ends of the shafts. This tends to give the hair added texture and body. The hair can be layered with a razor to provide a disheveled look that has become quite popular in recent years.

Using a combination of any two or three of these hair cutting tools, a salon stylist can produce any hairstyle a person desires.

Hair cutting tools are common items and can be found in almost any home. The skill to use them is not always available at home. For the best results, it is strongly recommended that everyone, male or female, allow a professional hair stylist to take care of cutting and styling the hair rather than attempt it at home.
